Hampir setiap kali saya beli HP baru, sang penjual HP mengatakan :

Mas, kalo nge-charge pertama kali, harus 12 jam ya…(ada juga yg bilang 6 jam)

Tidak hanya penjual HP, orang-orang di sekitar saya banyak yg menyarankan hal yg sama. Tapi saya tidak pernah mengikuti saran tersebut, karena setiap kali saya baca buku petunjuk HPnya, tidak pernah saya temukan statement tersebut, makanya saya anggap hal itu (charge HP dalam waktu yg lama, 6-12 jam utk pertama kali beli) sebagai MITOS. Tetapi kemarin saya menemukan bahwa hal tersebut ada benarnya. Hal itu dilakukan pada baterai HP dengan jenis NiCD / NiCad. Pada dasarnya terdapat 4 (empat) jenis pada HP, yaitu : NiCD / NiCad, NiMH / Metal, Li-Ion / Lithium Ion, dan Li-Poly / Lithium Polymer.
